younity - Home Media Server App Reviews

Now that Yosemite is out with I-Drive, I still find Younity offers me a better flexibility for handling my files off my Mac, iPad and iPhone 6. Even One drive doesnt come close. Im sticking with Younity.

I need to login to access the help section but it keeps telling me there is no account linked to my email. Odd given the email is listed under my account info. Figured I needed to give it a couple of days, but still nothing. Love the concept, hope I can get it sorted.

Great application and support ! This app does exactly what I need, even seeing all my "iPhoto library" pictures. :) And the search engine is very good and powerful too !

When youre on the same network, the app works flawlessly. Elsewhere - 3G, LTE or on another network, the app spends more time loading/transcoding/etc, then playing music. There is is a 3-4 MINUTE delay of some sort between songs. Often it appears as if it just times out between songs and stops playing music altogether. Ive been using a bevy of other apps that stream my music library on-the-go and none of them take more than a second or two to play a song or skip tracks. I love the UI and want to like it... but I cant if this is as good as it gets.

downloading file stop many times,need to redownload the file many to complete the download,please fix it

This is really a great app. Thanks for doing the app. But i cant see all my files, *.cnf & *.py files is not available. I would like to see all my project files in my iPad. It would be great if all file types are available to see & download. Also solving the how download button works was really hard. Folder download has to be available. Great app, thanks.

But realization isnt much perfect. I cant play .avi and .mkv files, cant play downloaded songs. Please correct it!

to be honest this app makes my life a lot easier than before because i used to get some sudden assignments in which most of the time they are available on my mac so i get my files from younity and download it. Even it helped me in my presentations cuz sometimes the usb does not work at a critical time but this app really helped . love this app

What doesnt work for me its when Im playing music, there isnt a shuffle button... Also something that would let you add a song to a playlist or a "play next" button kind of thing... I dont necessarily want to keep finding the songs I want to listen to and switching every time a song ends! Or listen to a whole album just for one song... It takes forever to sync with your computer too... When you add a new song into iTunes, it takes almost a full day to show up on your phone!

I have a 100 GB music library. I want to listen to it online but i cant do that unless i buy an account on Google Drive. But there is one more issue, that is the upload speed of my computer is very slow so upload my library is just like a nightmare. But after downloading this, i can enjoy my music with no problem. Even the registration is very simple and it work very well. Love this app!!!

I can access all the files on my home PC using my iPhone with ease. It does slow down my PC so I turn off unity while Im home.

I keep all my media (photos, music, movies, TV) on a Drobo 5N, which Younity will not scan since it says it is a “remote” device, so I can’t even test the app to see how well it works.

Anything you have on your desktop you can see on your device, music, photos, videos, files of any sort. I had no problems downloading it or using it. It works well, with no bugs. A great app and its free. Dont understand why because it is worth a lot. Try it, youll like it.
